Jobber is the biggest name in this category, and Canadian too — built in Edmonton. Here is where the two differ, and where Jobber is the better pick.

Jobber is a broad field-service platform priced per user across four tiers. TradePilot is one flat plan for the whole crew. For a small crew the price gap is the story; if you need job costing, accounting sync or marketing tools, Jobber has them and we don't.

Where each one wins
Where Jobber is stronger
- Feature depth. Job costing, two-way QuickBooks Online sync, time tracking, route planning and a marketing suite. We have none of those.
- Integrations. Jobber advertises 100+ app integrations. TradePilot has CSV import and export, and that is it for now.
- Maturity. Years in market, a large customer base, published case studies and an established support organisation.
- Scale. If you are running multiple dispatchers or a fleet, Jobber's higher tiers are built for that shape of business. Ours are not.
- Track record. They are a known quantity. We are new, and you should weigh that.
Where TradePilot is different
- Headcount doesn't change the bill. One price whether you are alone or ten strong. On Jobber's Core plan a second person adds US$29/mo.
- No tier puzzle. One plan with everything in it, so you never find the feature you need one tier up.
- Priced in Canadian dollars. No exchange rate between you and your subscription.
- Interac e-Transfer is a first-class payment option on invoices, alongside card — because that is how a lot of Canadian customers actually pay.
- Longer trial. 30 days rather than 14, which is closer to a real billing cycle in the trades.
So which one
You need job costing or a real accounting sync, you are running a team big enough to need dispatch and routing, you want a long list of integrations, or you would rather buy from a large established vendor.
You are one person or a small crew, you want the day-to-day — schedule, quote, invoice, get paid — to be fast on a phone, you are in Canada and want CAD pricing with HST and e-Transfer handled, and you do not want your software bill to grow every time you hire.

Export your client list from Jobber as a CSV — there's an import preset for their columns, so you're not matching fields by hand. Your history stays in Jobber; you're bringing the client list. Run both for a couple of weeks; 30 days is enough to decide.
